"Beautiful and Relaxing"

We felt pampered by Melanie and her family, as well as Bethany. They were extremely helpful in shaping our daily activities, and accommodating when we simply wanted to hang around the beautiful lodge. The Lee suite was large and cozy. We enjoyed reading by the pond and on the screened in porch. The breakfasts were delicious and filling.

"A+++ The Chalet of Canandaigua!"

Nestled in the hills of Upstate New York I was privileged enough to stay in this elegant and classy Chalet. Greeted by a very friendly couple who owns it, I stayed for three nights and found it to be very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was outstanding.

Awesome experience…loved everything about the room…amazing tub, great decor and great breakfast! We also enjoyed the outdoor fire pit with a few glasses of wine. "Uber Friendly Chef"

If you’re traveling to the Finger Lakes region, this is a lovely place to stay. Small, quaint and lovely on a great piece of property. But its BIGGEST asset is ‘Jerry’ (aka Geraldo from Mexico City), the chef and keeper. This is one very friendly dude who also knows his way around the kitchen!

We had an absolutely fantastic time at The Chalet. The accommodations were superb and the hospitality was unmatched. "The most wonderful time"

My wife and I just spent the most wonderful time at this fantastic bed and breakfast. The accommodations were perfect. The food was amazing. All from scratch by their Chef, Gracie. Could not have asked for a better night’s stay. Melanie, the owner was a perfect hostess. Would recommend this to anyone.

"An unexpectedly warm and luxurious welcome just a few days before Christmas."

We rented all 3 rooms a few days before Christmas for a pre-holiday family get together. Greeted by Melanie and Gerardo we felt incredibly cared for and welcome. The Chalet is a magnificent property, an elegant and modern log cabin with amazing character. Each bedroom was unique and luxurious. The common spaces in the building were large with great views and lots of seating. Gerardo made extra sure the fire was going in the living room. And what amazing breakfasts he prepared! Melanie was so warm and helpful. She gave us great suggestions for restaurants in town, and even used her “influence” to get us a last minute prime-time reservation on a Saturday night at what turned out to be one of the best German restaurants I have ever eaten. The restaurant was super fun and comfortable and believe it or not, very vegetarian friendly. Our brief 2 night stay was memorable and delightful, and we look forward to coming back again soon.

The property is stunning: a peaceful, woodsy setting perfect for winter walks, and a lovely pond that would be ideal for ice skating when conditions allow. It felt like a true retreat from everyday life. Breakfast was a highlight—thoughtfully prepared with delicious farm-to-table touches that made mornings feel special and nourishing. Every detail, from the comfort of the space to the natural beauty surrounding it, reflected care and intention. If you’re looking for a serene, charming getaway with heartfelt hospitality, the Chalet at Canandaigua is an absolute gem. We can’t wait to return. ❄️🔥🌲
