Covid 19 Temporary Policies

To our guests:


We look forward to your visit! As part of our preparation for your stay we have modified some of our policies to take into account the changing times due to Covid 19. All other policies remain in effect if not modified specifically here.  We are taking every reasonable precaution per the CDC Federal guidelines that have been issued, as we take seriously the safety and comfort of our guests. PLEASE REFER TO THE LINK BELOW FOR THE CURRENT NYS TRAVEL ADVISORY AS IT PERTAINS TO THE CURRENT GUIDELINES FOR ENTERING NYS.  If you are uncomfortable with institution of these new policies as a response to Covid 19 please let us know before reserving with us to clarify any question’s you may have as these policies will be a part of your reservation confirmation acceptance.



Masks are required upon entry into the Chalet and continued to be worn when interacting with other guests or ourselves, if social distancing is not possible. We will be prepared to wear masks when interacting with you our guests for your protection and expect the same courtesy in return.

We will have masks available if needed.


Your suite has been prepared with the utmost level of care, beyond our current high standards. In addition, please know that we are spacing reservations with a 24-hour interval between guests per suite to allow significant time for thorough cleaning and disinfecting of all touchable surfaces within the suite. We will be cleaning and disinfecting high touch areas in our common rooms throughout the day and hand sanitizer will be available throughout the common areas and in your suite as well.


For your comfort you may want to bring your own bed pillows, however we will have bed pillows cleaned and disinfected and available. Each bed pillow will be double covered with a clean pillow cover and pillow case


On stays of 1-4 days we will not be offering refresh service of rooms for your safety and ours. However, any fresh towels and/or amenities will be available to you upon request each day. Just let us know what you need and we will provide it to you.


We will serve breakfast on our porch, weather permitting, or in our dining room; each area has individual tables to continue to allow for social distancing. However, we will be asking our guests to space their breakfasts with at least a 15 min interval during the 8-9am breakfast timeframe.  The coffee/tea bar will now be replaced with individual carafes at your table, everything else will be served by us.  As always, each suite has a Keurig for coffee/tea at any time.


If at the time of your stay restaurants have take out service, you may order via phone or online for pick up at your discretion and you are welcome to use our dining area or porch to enjoy your dinner here at the Chalet.


We know our kitchen has always been a fun place to visit with our guests, sadly we need to refrain from visiting here during this time. As always during your stay, we are only a phone call or text away. Please let us know if you need anything or have any questions. We are here for you.

During this time we are requiring a two-night minimum stay, single night stays will be at our discretion.

A deposit of 50% will be required at the time of your reservation with the balance to be taken within 14 days of your arrival.


Cancelation of your reservation: If you need to cancel your reservation before our 14 days cancelation period you have the following options:  Have us issue you a Chalet Credit Certificate for 100% of your deposit for future use up to one year OR issue you a refund of 90% of your deposit to cover the cost of processing and rebooking your reservation.
If you need to cancel within our 14 days cancelation period you are responsible for full payment of the reservation.
If we are able to rebook the reservation you have the following options: If we rebook the reservation we will refund you 90% of the value of the rebooked reservation (be it a partial rebooking or discounted rebooking) OR issue you a Chalet Credit Certificate for 90% of the full value of your original payments, regardless if we are able to rebook the reservation partially or fully,  good for up to one year.
 Please note:  If you are sick or have any symptoms (fever, sore throat, cough, trouble breathing, etc.) before your arrival you need to cancel your reservation even up to the day of your arrival and the appropriate cancelation policy will be in effect.


 If you should fall ill during your stay you must notify us immediately and we will work with you on the best way to handle the situation, as there so many variables that would come into play.


It is always sad when you have to leave us, unfortunately hugs will not be available but we will be there to see you off and wish you safe travels when you check out.


We greatly appreciate you giving us the opportunity to share our home with you. We look forward to making your visit as safe and comfortable as possible. We hope we can return to our standard policies as soon as it is safe to do so.
